Red-crossed button slug caterpillar (Tortricidia pallida), #4653

Reveler Conservation Area

Another slug moth caterpillar found today. All in all, we found five species of these remarkable, unique and downright odd, caterpillars. This one, the hag moth caterpillar, crowned slug moth caterpillar, spiny oak slug caterpillar, and yellow-shouldered slug moth caterpillar.
