As it was a Sunday we were expecting a lightly loaded train with plenty of space to stretch out on our first long run of the week

How wrong we were....full. Good job we had reserved seats this time courtesy of Huddersfield Ticket office...request was for window seats, we got two facing backwards. Maybe, in their defence, the train was fully reserved 10 days before we travelled....maybe not.

Shared a table with two young businessmen...who were discussing their mate's new chair....it cost £3,800......now that's a bargain. Apparently and surprisingly they thought it was comfy!

They must have been very unimpressed with sharing a first class table with us two! Thankfully one fell asleep and the other did know a bit about trains so he was OK!
