Slightly different starting point this time around. Instead of our beloved "Shepley" we commenced the Odyssey from Wakefield Westgate.

Much improved station, with a nice view of the high security prison, makes this now an OK station, worthy of the train services it provides. 7/10 for the station....one would question the location of the footbridge, the cheapish canopy and the weeds on the track....but the concourse is fine.

Only down side was that one week previous when trying to reserve some seats for our trip, it did seem like it was a chore too far for the ticket man. Even though there was no other human being in sight. (More on this later)

So despite a circuitous route to the station we arrived in plenty of time for our trip "down south to London"
