I don’t know if these two fit into this category, but the fishermen are required to distribute part of their catch to the needy, before they sell any of it. The tour guide said that the people seeking the fish are covered as they don’t want to be recognized as receiving handouts. I thought that was a very humanitarian practice.

Very commendable to take care of the needy with part of your daily catch. The fact that it has to happen "before" they sell any is even more remarkable as it means the needy get "good stuff" not the leftovers.
