The New Orleans Southern Yacht Club and the New Basin Canal Lighthouse 2015

New Orleans

The Yacht Clubhouse replaces the one that burned during Hurricane Katrina because of broken gas lines by tidal surge. The Lighthouse has been fully restored and is now a Museum. The beacon still shines at night beckoning sailors to the harbor. Almost ten years later, life in that spot seems almost normal.
