Ant-like scavenger fly (Sepsidae)

These tiny flies are also called Black Scavenger Flies, but as you can see, they are so ant-like that the common name fits well. They are common, found on dung, but so small that they are often overlooked. This one is on the tip of a goldenrod leaf.
