13. A. A. Atwood – Bellows Falls Vt – Dr Augustus Adams Atwood (1828 – 1867) – Commissioned Assistant Surgeon with the 2nd Vermont Regiment in October 1863 and forced to resign his commission due to chronic Illness in July 1864. He never fully recovered from this illness and died June 6, 1867.
