Completely rebuilt exactly as it was in the 1930's, belonging to Gustav Weindorfer, an Austrian naturalist and conservationist and promoter of the Cradle Mountain NP.
Made of rough hewn timber, this simple chalet provided a simple existence and was visited by hardy bushwalkers for many years.
Gustav Weindorfer inspired later conservation. "Let this remain a National Park for all people for all time."
