On our first morning we took a walk around the kasbah (fortress) in Rabat and the neighborhood surrounding it, which was marvelous in its blue and white colors. Unfortunately, it was cloudy and rainy and pretty cold, something I didn’t anticipate in Morocco, but I guess I should have since it’s situated on the Atlantic Ocean. I didn’t expect much from Rabat, the capital city, but in fact it seems very pleasant and livable with a less tourist-oriented attitude. There was another cat sleeping in the flower pot.
