Fisher – Vergennes – (1834 – 1873) – Attorney, State Legislator, 1862; Brother-in-law to famous poet Julia Ripley Dorr; Traveled to Europe in 1864 remaining until 1873; Lost at Sea on the return trip when the ship he and his wife were traveling on, The White Star liner “Atlantic” was caught in a fierce North Atlantic gale and floundered off the coast of Halifax, Nova Scotia. 535 lives were lost including he and his wife.

6. D. E. Nicholson - (Blank) - Judge D. E. Nicholson (1813 – 1892) – Attorney; State Railroad commissioner;Delegate to the First Republican National Convention, 1856 (member of the credentials committee); Judge of Rutland County Court; 2 term state Legislator from Wallingsford; State Senator from Rutland County 1 term; States attorney 2 terms; Side judge 2 terms. He was killed when his buggy was involved in a runaway accident in Rutland.

Served as it's President, Vice President, Treasurer, and secretary at different times; Superintendent of common schools in Rochester, VT for several years; Founder of the Sparhawk Sanitarium in Burlington, VT for the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological and obstetrical conditions.
