A popular spot to see sea lions all year long, today the numbers are down from last week's 1000 plus.
The herring spawn is over in this part of the island for this year. In years past, sea lions that had been branded and seen here, had a history from San Diego to the sea lion caves in Oregon, the Ballard Locks in Seattle, the North Fork of the Cowichan River near Cowichan Bay, and finally in Fanny Bay.
