Red-banded bumblebee caught by crab spider

Reveler Conservation Area

Sitting on the queen-anne's lace flower, the female crab spider (Misumena vatia) would be unnoticed by any insect landing on the flower, until too late. The beautiful red-banded bumblebee (Bombus ternarius) would have been caught in a flash.
