Harriet Resting

I had an awful bout with Inflammatory Bowel Disease just before my one year anniversary of living in my new home. Mom and dad thought they were going to lose me.

It took a few months of steroid therapy and carefully controlled diet (first Hill's Prescription Diet W/D and then I/D products) to get me back on track.

Karen, sorry for your loss. The IBD is a challenge to keep under control. We are currently mixing three different kinds of Hill's Prescription Science Diet to help Harriet (the A/D, I/D, and W/D formulas). She is also getting two Cerenia injections a week, and subcutaneous fluids as needed. She also has Pancreatitis and diabetes and is getting two insulin injections a day. This is all quite time consuming and expensive, but until she gets ready to check out, our goal is to keep her as healthy and comfortable as possible.

That was what took the life of my Siamese. He literally wasted away and died in my arms. I find it strange that cats are getting so many of these diseases. I suspect it has something to do with their food ingredients. Voted for another cute shot. Voted.
