Al Mughsail, beach

We drove west of Salalah, to Al Mughsail, a small fishing village which Lonely Planet says has “Oman’s most spectacular bay, ending in a set of sheer cliffs that reach towards the Yemeni border.” (The cliffs were on the other end of the beach, where I was standing.) Indeed it was beautiful, with miles of beach and not a soul on it. Unfortunately, the air was very dusty from a sandstorm near Salalah.

The dust just adds atmosphere and distance. I initially thought it was fog. V

Wonderful curving beach. The distant mountain closes the frame making for a very strong composition. Most interesting terrain. Vote.

This is a rather inviting image! I would like having the beach all to myself but that blowing sand could be problematic!

That really is beautiful. Would love to be there now. (It's minus 1℃ here).
I like the graduated colours in the sea and sand, and the sweep of the cove. V
