The Sun is a star of spectral type G2V, and Uranus shines from this reflected light. Uranus appears blue, compared to the Sun because a lot of the red light from the Sun is absorbed. Dips of the spectrum of Uranus (red) below the solar spectrum (blue) and show where light has been absorbed by the atmosphere of Uranus, mostly by methane. Actual stacked spectra are in the box.
