These beautiful doors were at a shop in Al Faisaliyah Center that had some interesting items; we were particularly interested in the curved daggers but ended up not buying one since they weren’t cheap, and it was hard to know which were genuine and worth the money. I remarked on the doors when we were leaving the store, and the owner said they were made in Abha, in Asir Province, where we had visited last year http://www.pbase.com/helenpb/riyadh_asir and he shut them (partially) so I could photograph them.

I loved the dagger-design handles, although they were hollow and not really daggers at all.
