For the second year in a row we have bought a Christmas tree and we’ve decorated it. Two things spring to mind – the first is that we need to buy some new baubles – these are the same ones we’ve been using since about 1998 and as they break, the tree gets sparser and sparser. To be fair, for four years in a row they didn’t come out of the box at all because we didn’t have a tree. Anyway, we need to do something about it!
The other thing is that by buying and putting up a tree, we hack off Lola because it’s sited in the place where she likes to sit and watch the world go by. She’s got the complete hump with us about it and spends all her time walking past it a bit too close for comfort – I can see it all ending in tears any time now!
