Wycinanki vary by region. The design above comes from the area of Lowicz. It is distinguished by the many layers of brightly colored paper used in its composition.
Subject matter includes peacocks, roosters, and other birds; circular or star-shaped medallions, flowers and annual holidays such as Easter and Christmas.

Pretty Christmas cards, and so good seeing them with the Nativity scene on them. Sadly, they are quite rare here now
