This beach is where the town’s stream hit the sea in the 70s and it eventually eroded back to the cliff wall. The 2011 flood blew out the passageway to the beach and filled the area with mud and silt from the landslides. Workers added additional material as they cleaned up the town and this became a beach once again (but not for barefeet given the rocks and debris mixed in).
