The vehicle that never was (Flag Friday)

In the big scheme of life there are few things more annoying that buying a car. Taxes, PTA meetings and a few other things come to mind but the car buying thing is a broken process. I secretly enjoy it. Being in sales and understanding the process and doing things to wreak havoc on the process is fun in it's own twisted ways.

Take for instance wanting to use the Ford X plan to purchase this nice Explorer that I really, really wanted. The price for the same vehicle varied at three dealers. Without going into financial detail it was beyond frustrating. Working numbers with and without X plan made no difference. The offerings at each dealer should have been similar in nature/price. I have been looking at these things for almost three months and researching options, prices and incentives. It used to be GM dealers (stealers) seemed to corner the market on corrupt and sketchy sales methods. When I bought my Ford truck it was a very seamless transaction and the deal was easy and zero bullshit. What's changed in the Ford sales ecosystem? Three dealers and no deal is what's changed... Funny how when the guy with the checkbook leaves they follow? My phone was blowing up all day with texts wanting to do a deal?

To be continued...

Good use of the light; I like artificial light / urban night time shots.
I'd never survive in the US; I tend to hold onto a car for about a decade. In the US it seems to be essential to change them every time the oil needs changing. I think it's a law over there, maybe the 28th amendment to the constitution or something...
