Royal stables

The royal stables at Christiansborg Palace are only open a few hours a day, and only when the horses are in residence. They had just arrived back in Copenhagen from their summer pasture the day before, so we were lucky enough to be able to see them.

Their situation was quite a change from the Icelandic horses I recently encountered, who had lots of open space to graze and wander.

Another capture from the royal stables posted today of Amaranta, a sweetheart who was craving attention and some affection.

Even the horses cooperated in a symmetrical composition. They must have known you were the photographer. V

Did you position the horses for the perfect symmetrical image? If so, they were very obedient! V

Symmetry! Yes, you even seem to have arranged those horses to suit! Agree with the "Push me Pull you" of Dr Doolittle. Great shot.

A beautiful residence - and they know how to be symmetrical :) Super shot V

Reminds me of a "Pushme Pullyou" from Dr. Doolittle, I think. I would hate to think that they spend much of their time cooped up like this.
