The only word to describe this place is "WOW". The sheer scale of it, and the HUGE gothic spire are incredible. Restoration is in progress, and it ought to be a real beauty once it is completed. As you might guess, the inside is incredibly ornate as well. I also climbed the spire (343 steps in a tight spiral, take water) and went into the crypt, where somewhere on the order of 15,000 sets of bones can be found (and you can see many of them). Churches like this make me wonder what life must have been like several hundred years ago, since they seem to have had all the money.
