Much of the Innere Stadt (center of town) is at least traffic-limited, if not closed altogether. This fosters a very social environment, moving at a slower pace. One of the things that really charmed me was the cafès on the street, the musicians and artists everywhere, and the multitude of unique shopping. Unfortunately all this shopping was closed when I was trying to buy souvenirs on my last day there, but what can you do?
