Miriam is sick. We brought her home from the shelter and within hours she was sneezing.
Bless her heart, she sneezed all day. I didn't want Finn to get sick too, so I took her back to the shelter.
Turns out that she and most of the other cats have an upper respiratory infection.
Now the shelter wants to keep her in quarantine for 3 weeks.
I'd rather not wait that long. Finn is lonely and we are gone from home for long stretches of time.
Breaks my heart, but I need to find another kitty. I hope Miriam gets better and finds a loving home.
The vet tech at the shelter told me that there is a tortoiseshell cat at their other location.
She has been at the shelter for 9 months. It's hard to find homes for Torties, but I've had two in the past
and I like their BIG personality. My dear sweet Missy was a tortie. She passed away from cancer in July.
