Juvenile Grasshopper Sparrow (left) has a darker face with yellow or brownish supraloral, one faint malar line and dark greater coverts edged in pale. Baird's Sparrow right shows paler, heavily marked face, buffy malar bordered by 2 dark, contrasting malar lines, a pale supercilliam including supraloral and buffy colored greater coverts with dark terminal marks.
