About halfway through the long drive back to Reykjavík from Höfn the weather miraculously cleared up – sunshine and blue sky! -- although the wind never did let up. Once again I was fascinated by the amazing volcanic scenery passing me by, so this will be a series of images from that ride.

This was the town of Vik, where you have to be sure to fill up your tank because between Vik and Höfn, there is absolutely nothing, for hundreds of kilometers, except natural beauty.
