One of our box kites. About 2 metres long and 900mm on a side. Plastic sewn up on Mum's singer sewing machine. We flew them at night with motorcycle batteries and flashing lights. Next day there were a few reports of flying saucers. Once I flew it so high you could not see it and when we reeled in the 1 km of 50kg fishing line some of the plastic had been torn by the strong winds. I think we may have broken the height ceiling.
