Mutrah Souk (3)

Mutrah Souk is the main souk in Muscat, and despite its now-modern housing, retains the flavor of a traditional Arab market. Pretty much everything you could want to buy can be found here, and although it’s a key tourist attraction, we were apparently the only Westerners in the souk. But it was certainly full of local shoppers!

I love such places. I could have spent days in the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, and could probably do the same here! YOu have really captured the flavour of such a place well. V

I can imagine the smells and sounds of this souk. I visited some in my travelling years and I Always found it very rewarding to visit the souk.
