Situated in al-Riyam Park, this giant incense burner dominates the Muscat skyline for some distance. Incense is widely used in this part of the world, but Oman is also famous from times of old for its frankincense trade. They still grow frankincense here, and we bought some to bring home with us. I didn’t even know it still existed!
