Reveler Conservation Area. It is a bit tough to see this little mouse, but then this is how you generally see them, if they are seen at all. While common, these small native mice are very fast and hide almost before you know they are there. These are NOT the mice that enter your homes in autumn; those are the native white-footed and deer mice. These mice have a different ecology. As well, these guys jump (like frogs) rather than run. Unlike other mice, their tale is very long, and as you can see their pelage is two-toned. There is also a Woodland Jumping Mouse, which is quite similar.
