I have been thinking for some time about upgrading my Photoshop and Lightroom software. In 2009 I started using Lightroom based on a recommendation from Dave and I have been thankful ever since that I got started with it. It really is more useful to me than Photoshop right now. I do get into situations where I need Photoshop to do something, so I am glad I have it available.

I went to the Adobe web site and found this page. They are going to an entirely subscription based format. I think it is a good idea. I called these guys to find out what the $9.99 per month offer contains and found out it is exactly what I want - Lightroom, Photoshop and Bridge. You may think that is a lot of money, but I checked back to 2009 and found I spent $450 on the exact same stuff. That makes it about a wash.

There was one slight problem. My account with Adobe was all screwed up because I started out with a houston.rr.com email address which is now defunct. I got in touch with them to put it right and found out that the customer service people in the trenches were not able to do it alone. It takes some other group to accomplish what ought to be a simple cut and paste operation. They said 2-3 working days. We shall see...we shall see.

I would have thought they would be able to do things much more easily.

Amazing that it takes so much work to make a
simple change. Adobe's internal processes
must be complicated
