Whooper Swans, River Clyde at Baron's Haugh

It is thought that one of these birds, the female one, is injured and had decided not to attempt the return migration to Iceland in the spring of 2013. Its partner had remained faithful and stayed with her.
So they are now a regular feature in the Baron's Haugh area over the summer. They attempted to breed in 2013 on Hamilton Low Parks pond and hatched chicks but they were predated.
