This is a photo of Ginny and her dad from 9 years ago when he was 85. A funeral can cause some reflection about the life and times of the person being buried. The thing I got to thinking about was that bit of wisdom, "All things in moderation." And maybe that was his secret to living to the age of 93. NOT There wasn't anything that he did in moderation. He worked long and hard. He played hard, especially hunting and fishing. He would stay up all night playing cards or just sitting at the table and chewing the fat. He drank hard. I helped him in that regard whenever I got the chance. We went through a lot of bourbon. Moderation was not in his vocabulary. That means that not only did he live a long time, but he definitely got his money's worth.
