The young eagles are more than 8 weeks old by now. They fledge between 10 to 12 weeks of age. Approximately 40% of young eagles do not survive their first flight.
After fledging the young eagles stay near the nest for a few weeks and continue to be fed by the adult birds. They must learn to hunt by observing the parents and through practice.
