A family visit to Toronto provided the opportunity to make a side trip to Amherst Island to see the reported male Lark Bunting, a rare bird for eastern Ontario. When I arrived, found the bird on the side of the road darting into the grass and back onto the road. Turned out to be a very cooperative bird and not skittish at all. Being the time of day that it was, the lighting was harsh and fill-light could have been used. The bird also flew up to wires and sang a few notes. Its unique colours for a bird in eastern Ontario made it easy to spot.
