Ebony jewelwing (Calopteryx maculata), male

Along a dark, shaded, damp part of the trail near Clyde Forks, a few pairs of these gorgeous damselflies. The males have shiny emerald green abdomens, while the female's is bronze in colour, and she has a white patch on her wings.
