Or so I presume. This group was mostly women with a few children and the men seemed to be guides. Until i saw this group, it hadn't occurred to me that the Quechua people would need to be introduced to their own heritage, just as much as Westerners would need to be guided around our historical or religious sites. Naive, I guess, eh? (Or simply unthinking.) I love the colours. As always, it's the colours of the weaving which draw me. I just hope they don't all get imported from China one day. The souvenirs are. I have little lama pins with tags 'Hecho en Chine' - made in China, bought by my daughter in Cuzco.
