Local handicrafts

These boxes were for sale at the gift shop on the heritage site. I don’t know what they are and didn’t buy one, but thought they were attractive for local handicrafts. They also had a lot of abayas, with colorful embroidery down the front and on the sleeves, very different from what one sees in Riyadh. I regret not buying one now, but really need another abaya like a hole in the head ;-). Still, maybe I can get the tour guide to get me one on his next trip there in September, after the tourist season has finished...
