Driver's entrance

Many people have drivers here because that’s the only way that women can get around since they aren’t permitted to drive a vehicle in the kingdom. Pretty much all these houses had large gates as well as separate, complementary half-doors, which I would guess are for drivers and housekeepers who live on the premises. Even our very modest house (in comparison) on the DQ has two outbuildings for a chauffeur and a housekeeper, neither of which we have, so we use them for storage and a large freezer.

I thought this door was particularly attractive, nicer than the gate because I didn’t take a picture of that (or maybe there was a car in the way, I can’t remember now).
