The "Carugio"

Portovenere (Italy)

Portovenere is a very small village with a great charm.
It's all built on a rock and it's composed basically of only two parallel streets, the waterfront promenade and an inner narrow…very narrow street which is called in Liguria dialect " Carugio".
The buildings on both sides of the narrow alley likely have not changed since medieval times and contain the town's main shops and businesses.

The composition, light, tones and depth are just pefect! Almost a three dimensional capture that makes you feel part of the frame itself! V++

Très belle vue sur cette ruelle mise encore plus en valeur par le choix de cette composition avec la porte en premier plan.

Frame, complexity of the space beyond, not just flat walls, and human scale. Nice elements. Very peaceable. V.
