Exploring the inner street of Portovenere...

Portovenere (Italy)

When I say that a "Carugio" is really a very narrow alley, you see what I mean…
Once again we felt happy to be here early in the morning; it's hard to imagine what strolling over here might look like when the coaches of tourists arrive.
But when we arrived here everything is quiet and fresh. There are many little shops, cafés and simple restaurants in this street and they were all just opened. We bought a slice of "focaccia" with pesto at a baker's. It was an explosion of taste….
