We were told that the island had been part of the ocean recently enough that shells visible on the surface were ocean shells, not just deposits from tourists. Somehow, this one seems just a bit too clean to have been hanging around on the surface even if this combination of land rise and whatever had happened in the last century. Forgive me for being sceptical...
