Mojave Desert, California

Mojave Desert Sunset

This was my first time driving around the Mojave Desert in southwestern, California. I was so surprised by how green it was and how much flora exists and abounds in so many places. The best part of the day was of course, sunset!

Going through the Mojave Desert on the way to Tucson, l just used to look straight ahead. Never thought it could be as beautiful as in this image.

I think you hit the desert at just the right time Jim. Was the ocotillo in bloom? Love your composition - quite unusual and beautiful!!

I'm glad to hear the area is still green. We are visiting California in the summer, hopefully it's not dried out by then. Will try to get shots like yours!
