Las Vegas, Nevada view map

The Venetian

Oh how I'd love to visit Venice, Italy! Since that's just not in my travel plans for many years to come the next best thing is the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. I'd have to say amongst the opulence that IS Vegas this hotel is truly the best. At least in terms of architecture and beauty. I was quite captivated throughout the entire hotel/resort complex of the magnificent beauty and attention to detail. This archway is literally the front sidewalk of the hotel facing "the Strip". Yet I was fortunate enough to capture this striking image with a solitary person.

Nice composition Jim; the iPhone really did well in challenging light. I guess it is true what they say about any camera in the hands of a master.

I've been to Venice - do go if you can. It's an amazing place
I imagine this place would be more opulent than the real place - Venice is old... But the history!!! WOW

Love the beautiful patterns that the hanging lights make on the floor as well as the the lights in the arches. Great leading lines and vanishing point with the person for perspective.

You certainly caught the beauty of this architecture and the individual gives your beautiful image a nice perspective...

Very nice work with your iphone. Vegas is full of wonderful things to see. I can wander around for hours there with my camera. The Venetian is one of my favorite places in Vegas, too.

Absolutely fabulous, Jim. It IS amazing you were able to get this image with only one person in it! These iphones sure have good lenses!
