Wrong section

Actually, Tim said her husband had been in the men's section, but I sure didn't see him.

@ Mairéad, i lived in saudi and i can tell u that she won't get in trouble they would probably tell her to use the women's thing next time.if anyone gets in trouble in such a case it would be whoever in charge at this restu. btw, women rarely get in trouble in sadui , i know this sounds weird because of what's our media feeding us about women in saudi . i lived there so i know what i am talking about. women there are very educated too, the best pediatrician my kids ever had was a saudi female dr named sarah.

No McRib sandwiches I am certain!
Mairéad26-Mar-2014 20:39
Can't help wondering if she'd get into trouble for going to the men's section.
Not that dissimilar to Ireland 50 years ago, when men and women sat on opposite sides of the church and also stood on opposite sides of the dance floor.
A great candid. V

It is so interesting the segregation...I wonder if the menu is any different? V

globalgadabout25-Mar-2014 03:45
surreal...this seems a misbegotten dash for independence...segregating junk food outlets is the height of ridiculousness...extraordinary image...V

Love this shot, Helen - it's iconic!

McDonald's are every where. It is such an interesting image. It appears that she had her order fill on the men's section. I like the man in the foreground. It tells the story even better. Very well captured. V.

janescottcumming24-Mar-2014 21:46
Hard to believe they have a men's section and a women's section at McDonalds…but here is the proof! V

Karen Stuebing24-Mar-2014 21:09
Great candid. He really looks out of place and it's odd to see the MacDonalds in a foreign language. V.
Colin Storey24-Mar-2014 20:36

Another really fascinating image, fascinating on several levels. The servers look just like those here (but are they all male?), and the setup, etc, is very familiar to anyone who walks past the McD's (have only ever been in one, once). V
Milan Vogrin24-Mar-2014 18:59
Great scene!V!
Stephanie24-Mar-2014 18:43
Where are the restrooms? That's the only reason why we go to McD's....
Funny capture to see this man oblivious to his surroundings! V

Bill Miller24-Mar-2014 17:43
An interesting cultural observation.
Does a burger made from lady beef taste that much different from one made of boy beef???
