Ginny is off to Oregon for her mother's 90th birthday party. I was allowed to stay home and do other stuff. One of the things I really like to do is cook stuff. Today I decided to try using phyllo dough for the first time. One of my favorite flavor combinations is a bacon cheeseburger. So it only seemed natural to try putting a bacon cheeseburger in phyllo dough. It worked very well. I surprised myself. I had a bunch of dough left over so I made some chips from the dough seasoned with chili powder, salt and pepper. That also worked well. So when I finished the cooking I poured a glass of Shiner Wild Hare IPA to accompany the meal. This is a recipe that I will try again some time for sure.
