Once again, I'm going to TRY to keep the year updated with what we've done. We'll see how far that resolution lasts...

We always start the year out with birding in Florida. This year was no exception, and we've started it off with a bang! Well - not that big of a bang yet...

We decided for our first trip to go to Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge. We hadn't been in a while and wanted to see if the birding was better this time. There hasn't been a great amount of activity lately here in Florida, so we thought maybe going further south would help.

We did manage to catch sight of a Red Headed Woodpecker. These woodpeckers are declining in recent years, so we were quite excited to see one.
