F11 1/8 second, used a ND.9 gel filter in the rear filter slot on my 17-40. Photomatix strips the EXIF and I forgot to add it back in. Can't tell it here but there was a fair amount of flare in the shot that I was able to work out. I'm not sure where it came from except possibly of reflecting off me into the viewfinder which I forgot to cover over. Paul

Paul, you make voting very difficult...excellent work...if you don't mind me asking, what is the EXIF on this? Best Wishes, Traveller

Falling through the ice is no laughing matter. In Minnesota, we lose a few people a year this way. It often involves bad decisions, like driving a car on thin ice or snowmobiling at night and hitting open water. Occasionally someone falls through while simply walking on thin ice. Ice on a lake can be thick in some areas, and quite thin in other spots.

I can only imagine what it looked like last week when we were sub zero. Double dang! We usually only have one real winter blast a season and it's short so I doubt we will get that cold again till next year if then. If we do I'm going out! I would have liked to have gone down into the lower section of this fall and shoot the fall from the bottom up but it was flooded and froze over. NOT A CHANCE! I fell though the ice on a lake once as a youth and I'll never take that risk again! Paul

A very fine "winter" shot. Sure looks cold enough to me.
