Rain, rain, rain! What a miserable, dark, dank day to start off a New Year with. My first thought this morning was whether or not the sun had risen yet it was so dark, and yet it was almost 8 am. I know, a late start for me, but, hey, on New Year's Day that's allowed I think!
New Year's eve was spent relatively quietly at home with Richard and friend Tony who is over from Crete before disappearing to Sri Lanka for his 3 month winter sun break (lucky, lucky man.) We bbq'd a fab piece of Stuart Lowen's lamb (yes, it was dry then) with all the trimmings and opened a requisite number of bottles of wine and fizz - as you do! Crazy phone calls from the Bahrain crew and family too.
The weather is just so totally uninspiring today I can't see me going out with my camera at all, so today's image is one I took yesterday of a little black cat that has adopted our wood shed. A sweet little thing, which doesn't seem to be a stray as it's in very good condition, although does always seem hungry and in need of attention. I've produced some posters to drop into the houses in the lane to try and locate it's owner and if by some extremely rare co-incidence it's owner sees this picture on PBase, then do message me.
