Magnificent clarity and blue skies this morning after all the rain yesterday, although the doomsayers (weathermen!) are predicting a return to wet and stormy conditions at least by this evening. Grabbed an opportunity to take Gemma the dog out for a short walk along the sodden and frequently flooded West Somerset Mineral Line, running along the Washford River from Washford down to its outflow to the sea at Watchet.

Alas though, today was a working day and my never diminishing workload nagged me to make the walk short and sweet, but, although I only took my little Fuji camera out with me I managed to catch a few shots of the swollen river and local birdlife.

Today's image choice is a young blue tit enjoying the fresh air and sunshine after the downpours of yesterday.

Little black cat is still with us - making friends every time we open the back door. We are still musing as to whether he's a crafty little operator, working us as 'soft-as-butter' cat lovers in spite of having a warm hearth and full food bowl elsewhere, or if he is lost and in need of taking in. At least I managed to get my printer back up and working today so can print the posters and distribute them. So the jury is still out on this one for the time being.
